To address long term pain relief, Dr. Abrams employs a multitude of treatments and methods for a fast and effective course of action.

Dr. Abrams has a reputation of giving effective and gentle adjustments to help restore motion to restricted joints which helps decrease pain and tension. According to the American Chiropractic Association, Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints.

Myofascial release therapy addresses the surrounding muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and fascia. Soft tissue injuries occur when there is macro trauma (i.e.: car accident or a fall) or micro trauma (i.e.: aberrant motion or poor posture). This results in the production of scar tissue and adhesions in the muscles/tendons, which limits range of motion and generates pain. Dr. Abrams detects those adhesions and utilizes a specific stretch while simultaneously adding a dynamic motion into the respective muscle group. This combination yields a far superior outcome.

Graston Technique® (GT) is “an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue lesions and fascial restrictions resulting in improved patient outcomes. GT uses specially designed stainless steel instruments with unique treatment edges and angles to deliver an effective means of manual therapy. The use of GT instruments, when combined with appropriate therapeutic exercise, leads to the restoration of pain-free movement and function.”

A functional assessment is an integral part in determining the weak link(s) in each patient’s movement patterns, which is often the source of a patient’s musculoskeletal pain/symptoms. Dr. Abrams will incorporate specific exercises to target the dysfunctional movement patterns allowing for a return to optimal motion and pain relief.
